Forum has organized the evening concerts of PONT Festival in 2018. Pont Festival, a cooperation of Hangvető and Budapest Spring Festival, brings the wonders of the world to Budapest. Through Unesco’s Intangible Heritage List the festival presents diversity and tradition.
In 2018 Forum, Hangvető and the Halmos Béla Programme Office has organized a workshop for young musicians, music professionals with knowhow for showcase applications.
Voices of Spirits – Forum initiated a Hungarian- Norwegian world music exchange programme in 2016 with focus on the cultural interactions between Romani and Sami musicians funded by EEA Grants.
Gypsy HeartBeats has been especially created for the 2015 WOMEX openinggala. As Budapest hosted this prestigious worls music event, it was evident that it had to celebrate the music of the Carpathian basin
In 2011 the Forum for Folk Arts Foundation brought about the grand Opening Concert for WOMEX11, the most important international world music event organized that year in Copenhagen. ‘Hungarian HeartBeats’ was created especially for this event, portrayed the cultural and musical diversity of the country stemming from the dance house movement, and went with a bang.
In its first decade Forum organized the Tükrös camps. The decision to set up a regular meeting point for friends and family connected through Tükrös Ensemble, and create a camp with a cultural profile focusing on the folk heritage where generations gather and have fun was made in 2001.
